STI College Munoz-EDSA’s selected ITMAWD students participated in the recently held programming competition called DISCS Programming Open v2017.03 (DISCS PrO) last March 11, 2017 at the Faura Hall of Ateneo de Manila University from 9:00AM to 1:00PM.

Patterned after the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest, teams are given 8 problems to solve in 3 hours. The team with the most number of problems solved and with the fewest penalties wins.

The competition was joined by invited High Schools of the host school, and STI College Munoz-EDSA sent two teams as follows:

The students were guided by their coaches, Mr. Julius Battung, Mr. Jay Rico, Ms. Maricar Bugtong, and Mr. Allan Jay Dumanhug.

Team STI Muñoz made us proud with their willingness to be exposed and to learn more. The students who joined the competition were encouraged to learn more in preparation for the next competition, and we are also looking forward to meeting other students who’d be interested to be exposed in competitions like this.
