Ready to Go Angat!

STI College Muñoz – EDSA celebrates 18th Commencement Exercises last May 19, 2011 at Crossroads 77, Mother Ignacia St., Quezon City with 277 graduates from CHED and TESDA programs.

With its theme “STI’ers: Dangal ng Pilipino; para sa Mundo”, the school aims to impart to its students the value of being globally competitive as Mrs. Amy P. Dalisay, School Administrator stated in her opening remarks. She also shared her dreams of alleviating the interest of students in the pursuit of academic excellence by believing in themselves and in making the Filipino brand world class.

Mr. Richard A. Gadin, a businessman, I.T. Specialist and an alumnus of STI College Muñoz – EDSA, was invited to do a talk to the graduates where he pointed out that students must have the confidence to face the world outside and must always be proud of the school where they came from regardless of its name or brand and that they should always do their best in everything that they do.  He also shared some of his experiences, both good and bad, but pointed out not to do the same mistakes he did when he was studying and when he was just starting with his professional career.

Distribution of congratulatory letter from STI HQ to the graduates  and announcement of academic and non-academic awards shortly followed.

Sherwin Lagumen, DIT, did the Vale Di Cere address where he shared to his fellow graduates to follow what they feel toward something and use it as a guideline to achieve what they want in life. Mr. Lagumen then pursued a Bachelor’s Degree after getting his Diploma in Information Technology.

To close the ceremony, the School President, Miss Celia J. Sapalasan gave an inspirational speech to the graduate stating that their time has come to give back to their parents. She also furthered that students must serve the country first and when going overseas, they should make the country proud. She also thank the parents for the support they gave to their children.

The school officials, faculty members and staff wish the graduates a successful life after their graduation.
