On August 14, 2012, Metrobar will be the mandala for the stars and champions from 9 STI schools around the metro and nearby province for the Cluster Finals of STI’s Talent Search 2012.

            This year, from the original Cluster of 4 schools (STI College Munoz EDSA, Novaliches, Caloocan, and Quezon Avenue) 5 more schools were added (Recto, Fairview, Meycauyan, Cubao, and Taft Ave). The best from these schools will compete for the championships of the Battle of the Bands, STI Idol, Hataw-Sayaw and Mr. and Ms. STI 2012.  Lucky cluster winners of the titles shall advance to the National Competitions for the STI Talent Search to be held on August 31, 2012 at the Enchanted Kingdom, Sta. Rosa Laguna.  This event shall be attended by the STI’ers from various STI schools nationwide.

For the past years, STI College –Munoz EDSA has produced 2 national titles – Mr. Ernesto T. Ocampo for Mr. STI 2005 and Ms. Ma. Carmencita “Apple” A. Marquez for STI Idol 2006.  Who will follow their footsteps?  To waive our banner this year, we will be represented by Mr. Mark Lester L. Demillo and Ms. Joressa S. Babanto for Mr. and Ms. STI, Ms. Ann Christian R. Santander for STI Idol and our representatives for Hataw-Sayaw and Battle of the Bands will be selected from various equally-talented groups.  Acknowledging our local champions are Ms. Amaballe G. Ayuhan, the Explekeerm Crew and the Spread the Sheet for the STI Idol, Hataw-Sayaw and Battle of the Bands respectively.

            As STI’s ad says, “in STI – we learn, we socialize and we play”. Talent Search competition is an annual and national organized event part of the anniversary celebration of STI.  Basically speaking, the thrusts of the event are to celebrate our 29 glorious years and counting, to name new Talent Search Champions and role-models from our regional reservoir of talents, and to mingle/socialize with other STI’ers.
