Enjoy the Taste of Eating Right

The STI College Muñoz-EDSA community is one in making our employees and students fit and healthy. That’s why the theme of this year’s Nutrition Month is “Enjoy the Taste of Eating Right”. It aims to promote awareness about the benefits of staying fit and healthy by eating right and enjoying a healthy lifestyle.
Various competitions participated by students from various programs were held at the covered court last July 31, to celebrate STI College Muñoz-EDSA’s 40th Nutrition Month. The said activity was facilitated by the HTM Department with the help of other teaching staff.
With the help of Vivanda E Mensa, the activity started at 9:00 a.m. with the registration and booth set-up for the Food Booth and Food Display Contest judged by our School Administrator Mr. Roel Almera, and the Deans, Ms. RemediosNajera and Ms. Marilyn Afable. In-charge were Coach Erika Florraine Malang, Coach Krystel Alene Arboleda and Lab Facilitator Sharmain Elisha Gomez.
The Poster-Making Contest followed at 10:00 a.m. with thepersons in-charge, Coach Wency Jean Monding and Lab Facilitator Bonnavie Sabdani and judges from the IT Department Mr. Billie Boy De Leon, Coach Jan Louis Portuguezand Coach Marc Regis.
At 11:00 a.m., the Nutri-Quiz Bee Contest was held with the Quiz Masters, Coach Jelly Ann Santiago and CoachKhristina Cassandra Baquiran. The tabulators were Ms. IreneFrancia, Ms. Mercibel Alarcon and Ms. Analiza Baisa. It was proctored by Coach Jason Austria and Mr. Ronnel Romero.
The activity resumed at 1:00 p.m. with the help of the Simply Tours Representatives in the registration booth. TheNutri-Jingle Contest also took place care of Coach Kenneth Bryan Aliser and Masters of Ceremony, Coach Krystel AleneArboleda and Coach Jethro Acosta. The said contest was judges by Ms. Rachel diano, Mr. Federico Ramos and Mr. Ronnel Romero.
The afternoon was a blast when the healthy competition “Gandang Babe, Gwapong Hunk” started at 2:30 p.m. with Masters of Ceremony Coach Kenneth Bryan Aliser and CoachRheinalee Blanc Calucin. It was judged by Mr. Gervis Lamsen, and STI College-Muñoz-EDSA’s very own beauty queens,Joressa Babanto and Karen Irra Fabia. Thanks to the special participation of the Ground Emcees who are also students of STI College Muñoz-EDSA, Vincent Roxas and Kenneth Gamboa.
And of course, the most-awaited part of the activity was the announcement of winners which took place at 4:30 p.m. Let’s all congratulate our winners:

The event was a total success! Special thanks go to our Program Head, Ms. Irene Francia for all her efforts, to all the facilitators, judges, and most especially, to all the students who participated in the said activity. This wouldn’t be possible without their perseverance and dedication to promote a healthy lifestyle.
Together, let us build a community of fit and healthy people with proper diet and exercise. Enjoy the taste of eating right! Nag-eat-all-you-can ka na naman ba? Mag-Gym-All-You-Can naman!
